Thread: Tequila

    Default Tequila

You either like it or you don't. I like it, especially with beer chaser. Squeeze of lemon in the shot makes for a mini-margarita. What say you?

Though I'm not of age I partake in a drink every now and again, and on special occassions hard liqour. Tequila has never boded well with me, but three cheers to those who take that adventure.

Don't like the stuff personally, though had it enough times.

Tequila slammers or tequila shots if I had to, cos both are knocked back and over with in a second.

Tequila cocktails or sipping tequilas .. yuck ... I gag.

Tequila makes me puke. Reflex from drinking too much when younger and didn't understand its power.

Agreed, it tastes/smells like glue. Salt and lemon helps with not tasting the stuff

    I love tequila.

Well, I make a really excellent marinade for pork out of tequila, orange juice, garlic, and ginger...

Drinking it, well, I will if there's nothing else available.

I like gin. And rum. And whiskey. And the occasional vodka.

How much garlic? I gotta try that. Everything's better with garlic.

I'm a big fan of garlic, so I use a couple of cloves (or more, depending on my mood). I just pop em in the garlic press.

How many drinks are you making with two cloves?

Uh, pork marinade isn't a drink, the last time I checked. I'm not saying that adding garlic to mixed drinks is the worst idea I've ever heard, but in this case it's just making my pork tenderloins all tasty and stuff.

My mother says I must be terrified of vampires based on the amount of garlic I consume.

The supermarket employees just think its funny that I buy more garlic and yogurt than anything else. If I were ever sufficiently bored I'd make a pie chart of my grocery expenditures.

Holy shit, you're wasting tequila on dead pigs. I'm pretty sure that's sacriligious in almost all cultures.

mmmmm...yogurt and garlic. Together. Invite some cucumber to the party as well.

mmmmm...yogurt and garlic over burnt butter spaghetti.

My chicken tonight had wine in it, I've been known to use red wine and brandy for pot roast. Alcohol can enhance foods in more ways than one.

But the alcohol never makes it to your intestines that way. It just evaporates away.

I see. Are you 18 and desperate not to waste the booze you got your older brother to buy you or something?

Haha. I wish. I'm on a budget binge.

    Silly fool.
    The flavor hit's your tongue.
It's about the flavor, after all, right?
Otherwise just buy Everclear and get high.

There's gotta be a way to get the flavor without wasting the alcohol. Oh yeah, drink it.

Never tried cooking with tequila, but cognac, whiskey, beer, vodka, wine, those usually all work out well in my dinners

Knux's vote doesn't count because he's underage so the vote is tied right now. I have some fresh lemons and some fresh limes and I think a shot of tequila sounds pretty good.

Are you Greek? Yogurt, garlic, lemon, cucumber and dill. Enough garlic to keep vampires away.
