I could use your non-recipe. Got more tomatoes ripening on the vine than I can keep up with (and I don't know how to can)

Lor, your honeymoon sounds fantastic. California has so many lovely places, all surprisingly distinct and different. And quite romantic, yes?

GGT, if you have a ton of tomatoes, you should try this recipe - it's pretty damn awesome:
    http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Fish-Fillets-Italiano/Detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=italian%2 0fish&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Recipe%20Sear ch%20Results

I did modify it a bit, though. First of all, I didn't have any cod, but apparently any white fish works. Also, I added about twice the suggested amount of garlic, and threw in basil, oregano and some ground cayenne pepper along with the parsley. Also, depending on the size of the fillets, the simmering time may be longer - it also depends on what fish you use. It's done when the fish flakes easily with a fork.

I've been working out and running a coupel times a week each, and I've been enjoying. Feeling great, feeling nimble, and feeling strong. I watch a lot of youtube fitness channels: TMW (hodgetwins), Elliot Hulse (StrengthCamp), a little PoG, Mike Chang, and CT Fletcher. Nice motivation, and gives good ideas for options during training. Functional strength has been my focus (exercises that let the body work in unison).

We've made a few GALLONS of homemade tomato sauce...

Now at an apple orchard...picking your own apples, kinda Zen.

Sounds like a tasty recipe, BalticSailor. I've already made fresh-frozen salsa, diced bits, and prepared sauces. Given quite a bit to neighbors/friends. I'm amazed by the continuing dangling, ripening tomato clusters yet to pick and use...from just two original tomato plants!

Picking weeds on a carrot field that doesn't use herbicides. Could be worse, my sister's boyfriend has literally shoveled a pile of shit once!

  11. #4481
I've shoveled shit before, I worked as a stablehand at a barn before.

Picking carrots sounds worse to me.

Well, picking my own apples at the pace I wanted and it was quiet...the kids were with Better Half on the other side of the orchard picking raspberries.

Especially when it begins to dry and creates those brown flaky circles.

It's possible. But probably not affordable.

Affordability is relative, but I think it's a steal for $450. It's sterling silver, with gold plating.

Was this a Bitter Jeweler original?

  28. #4498
Yes. I'm working on a series based on it.

The engineer in me disagrees, the wheels are curved, you won't be able to make them turning and keep the ring round at the same time.
