I am happy that my youngest child graduated from High School a full month ahead of time. His "peers" are still trying to meet class requirement times, and extended weather delays.
Does it feel weird for you that high school is done? (I know you're happy and proud, but you know...)
We're stuck in a bloody snowglobe.
Now he can spend that month doing such useful activities as...

Don't be a bitch, Icky.
We're stuck in a bloody snowglobe.
Yes, it feels weird. I'm already wondering how "active" I'll continue to be in K-12 public education, now that my youngest child cleared that hurdle.
FYI Loki, he spent his 'extra' time lining up a paid internship at a Community College, with the ability to transfer credits to a University degree. I can't complain, why should you?
Reading Rainbow reached it's kickstarter goal in about 11 hours, now nearly doubled it a day after the start. I pledged yesterday when it was still at 30k, and was worried that it wouldn't make it. I'm glad my fears were so very unfounded.
Had the day off (and tomorrow too, unless my conscience drives me to the hospital to do some paperwork, and then the whole weekend...!) so we cleaned up the apartment and had some friends over for bbq and some fika, improvised a gluten-free chocolate-nut-cake, went for a lovely walk, got my new NAS, a 2TB WD Red HD and a new router, set it all up in a perfect place like I'd been meaning to for a looooong time, and everything just went so smoothly I was like it's nice to be off-duty

Took me 2 days, but I managed to finally clean out and organize my download folder. Couldn't remember where some of that older stuff came from

I'm "happy" to get a lot of yard work done, edging garden beds, digging weeds, adding fresh cedar mulch, planting annual flowers and some perennials, too. My cherry tomato and green pepper plants are flowering, and the rosemary and thyme plants have already been used in recipes. The basil is looking grim, but that's for another thread.
I'm feeling "happy" to watch grass seeds sprout, and anticipate wildflower and sunflower seeds growing, too. Most of it looks similar to weeds in their early stage...but I think it will end up as a glorious flower bed in summer if I just leave it alone and let it grow.
Being back in the world of the living. No longer simply existing to labor to the benefit of others. Ahh, the air is fresher out here, and smiles come easily again. I'm happy to be happy again. Still a lot to do to get me where I want me, but now I'm going that way.

Bought a bunch of cheap 2.5" hard drive enclosures off newegg so I can start using all these old laptop harddrives as last resort backups. While putting everything together I discovered that one of the 320gb drives is compatible with my 360. After several hours of formatting and backing up I have an extra 80gbs of space. w00t!
to bad I also found out that the 360 now supports 500gb drives, so I'm once again a step behind.

Going to see limp bizkit Saturday

But does GGT approve?

It's not a top-loader so you can't just drop plates in mid-cycle

But can you tenderize squid in it then reuse the water for bathing? If you aren't getting a dishwasher that gives you that granular level of control then you might as well be selling yourself to the highest bidder in what amounts to modern day corporate slavery. The technology has been around for years, you just have to open your heart to seeing it.
I'm not exactly sure in which world a top-loading dishwasher might make sense.

Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?
