That refreshed driving feeling you get after a rather expensive car service appointment.
Makes me feel kind of bad that I wont be driving my car much more after today

I'm switching to Brandy's Honda for my daily driver.
Its a lease thats nearing 8,000 miles behind what the lease allows, so why put wear on my car when its covered by the other?
It gets the same gas mileage as my car, but takes the low grade and cheaper gas. Since my gas is raising a fucking nickel every night towards $5, I figured it was time to cut back.
what stinks is that her car is lot more sluggish than mine, its got the same 2.4 output and CVT transmission, but its a good 800 lbs heavier, and you can really feel it.
plus shes not all to happy about me commandeering her car, even if she ain't using the damn thing.

Aye - may as well use up the lease mileage. Not that you get penalised for under-using like you do for over-using (at least you do here ... to the tune of pence per mile)
As for Brandy, remind her that marriage is about compromise
If I showed my other half the back of my hand, she'd probably hit me back.
Finally been to that little neighbor country, on my way back from Innsbruck.

I visited Innsbruck in my younger years, during a graduation vacation trip to Kitzbuhel. The alps were amazing but a bit daunting. My friend was brave enough to tackle the black diamond slopes, but I was chicken. I remember minor language problems, like getting a trash can/waste can in our hotel room. They call it a "dust bin" or "ash bin" and didn't understand the word "Kleenex".
The prix fixe dinners were part of our hotel expenses, and that was the first time either of us had experienced European meals where cheese and fruit trays were considered a "course", both as appetizers and desserts. It was also the first time we felt the warmth of lofty down-filled comforters with duvet covers, without heavy layers of blankets or top sheets.
Such good memories. Makes me happy to reminisce.
Gave my netbook a nice little refresh. went from 2gb to 4gb for memory, and from a 5400rpm hard drive to an SSD.
It was already an acceptable machine, being able to somewhat play titles as new as SWTOR, but this little upgrade really cut down on my wait times.
I'm more worried about the chewing out my 3 year old would level at me if I ever upset the wife.

Sounds like something to properly freak the grandparents out with, Minxy.

Officially got promoted. Specialist should be thrown my way in october.
I got a Raspberry Pi, and got it to run XBMC, and tonight I got it to run an emulator for NES, SNES, SEGA, DOS, etc.. Pretty cool Now to figure out the controls for player 2 (if there are any) to make things like mario kart fun!
Keep on keepin' the beat alive!

Did you have a big, fat, Greek wedding?
Yeh never mind all that. Much more importantly, 'grats on 1,000 posts.

Nah seriously, nice one Stevo.
May you and your lucky missus have many joyous years.
When you off to Singapore?
consumed 4 cups of frozen butterbeer today.
almost makes me forget that universal wanted $100 for a wizard robe, $30 for a wand, and $35 for a nimbus 2000
