    Default Robin Williams

    Rest in peace.

Apparent suicide. Seems he lost the battle against depression.

Spent the last few minutes trying to remember all the movies I'd seen him in. Sure I'll remember more throughout the day.

    Good Mornng Vietnam
    Awakenings
    The World According to Garp
    Toys
    Good Will Hunting
    Seize the Day
    Jumanji
    Dead Poets Society

    Well, damn
When the stars threw down their spears
And watered heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

    Oh yep. Forgot Aladdin.

One Hour Photo - his only movie playing the bad guy?

The Birdcage (remake of La Cage Aux Folles)

One of his best movies, especially considering he was so far out of his comfort zone.

Agreed - I expected the movie to be crap simply because you had a guy, who's notoriously known for his comical genius, playing a bad guy. I mean, really, what the fuck! However I enjoyed it.

I watched Birdcage last night, still makes me laugh.

When I first heard about his death, I thought it was just a really bad internet rumor/myth that would be quickly dispelled.

I consider myself lucky to have seen him perform live, just a couple of years ago! It was after his sobriety/rehab and open-heart surgery, and he made me laugh so hard I peed my pants a bit. He was moving and sweating like an athlete, and it was pure joy to watch his comedic genius in action.

He could say a million words physically miming, or with just facial expressions, and his eyes "twinkled" like no other. There's some kind of strange irony at play, that I don't fully understand, that he tied a belt around his throat to end his life.

Robin Williams still has a voice, even in his death. I wish he would have stayed around longer (for our sakes) but maybe it was just too much for him. Genius has human limits.

Is that one good? I've always meant to see it because I was a big Memento fan, but never did.

Yeah, it's good. If you want to see it just because you're a Nolan fan, keep in mind it's a remake, not written by him (like Memento). But yeah, it's a good movie!
