I use various tools and applications to switch my workstation and mobile screens to have a red tint. On my workstation, I have a deep red tint programmed-in that I flip-on depending on what kind of work (it's a bit hard to work with some applications when the color tint is changed). On my phone (and future tablet), I use the Android app Twilight to add a red tint at later hours (especially if I read on one before bed).

I've always perceived some benefit from this, especially when toggling-off the red tint and finding my eyes strained. Is this legit or bogus?
