Only online copy of this song I can find is a live version that doesn't do it justice, but I keep listening to this

They're playing here Friday, kind of tempted to get tickets for me and the girl.

I've been using the spotify discover list more recently, and have been impressed. It's been giving me a bunch of obscure bands I already knew but hadn't listened to on spotify before, and the bands sometimes surprised me because they can be really obscure. Then there's a load of new bands and songs, some not so good, but enough that I liked. And it appears to know my taste to the extent it shows me bands others told me before I would like, but never got around to listening to.

This is my favourite from last list I like it a lot, great song if you ask me.

btw, the male singer is known for being in a formerly crappy pop rock band, but they also got a lot better recently:

Interesting note: Rand started the youtube thread http://theworldforgotten.com/showthread.php?t=733 in 2010 when it was about funny videos and ads.

Feeling sentimental. This was my wedding music in 1988, but played a bit faster on the harp

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-Xm...XBAE2g&index=2

Listening to it now, it sounds slow and painful

    Vide Cor Meum

I first heard it in Hannibal, later in Kingdom of Heaven. So beautiful

I've shared Peter and the Wolf here before, one of my bestest childhood musical memories (with Boris Karloff as narrator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IB66bInIXAY)

I always thought it was just teaching kids music and instruments, but today I heard a new interpretation: that Peter is Russia (Peter the Great) and the wolf is the US. Because, ya know, Prokofiev is Russian above all else

"And if you listen closely, the wolf has swallowed the duck alive....."
