    Default Age of Wonders III

I believe someone wrote about this in the megathread a while back. Its on sale in the Steam daily sales and am tempted, it looks like a Heroes of Might and Magic style game to me. Does anyone have any feedback on this game? Is it worth it?

I've played 56 hours apparently, according to steam.

But for the life of me I can't remember the game in the slightest.

Lemme boot it up and remind myself.

    Oh yes.

V good game. Yep just like the HoMM series.

No major flaws. Combat is fun and challenging. No unit stacking which was a negative in HoMM.

All in all worth it - particularly in a sale.

    It's worth it.
When the stars threw down their spears
And watered heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

So a new expansion is coming out on Tuesday, and along with that is a free patch for all versions of the game adding play by e-mail. Would there be any interest in getting one of those going?

How long would play by email take? If its HoMM style (not got it yet) then how does that work, surely each battle would take lots of turns back and forth?

Or would that be for battles and not campaigns?

I have no idea how it'd work. Maybe they all get auto-resolved?

The time it'd be going would depend on how fast everyone got their turns in.
