Thread: Is it possible to get a TV-panel without the TV?

Default Is it possible to get a TV-panel without the TV?

So here's the deal: I'd like a 32" 1080p display without the TV-receiver stuff, just inputs for hooking it up to a computer and chromecast. I don't want a TV and I especially don't want to pay the fees for owning a TV receiver. Does such a display exist?

Doesn't that mean just a 32" computer display with multiple inputs?

It should but in practice pc displays are far more expensive, perhaps because they have higher pixel densities. I haven't been able to find a 1080p 32" display yet, they all have higher pixel densities and the legal status of removing the receiver is apparently unclear.

What fees does Swedistan have for owning a tv?

Thought the licence fee was fairly unique to the UK.

We have a TV license fee as well that goes towards public service TV. The license fee and the organisation tasked with collecting it are among the most reviled parts of Swedish society. Almost everyone would prefer to have the organisation dismantled and the services funded through taxes.
