So a site dedicated to promoting gold is claiming that the Apocalypse is at hand, and we should therefore buy gold. Good on them for being so honest.

And when it's at a 30 year high, even! How altruistic of them to invite us to partake in this great investment opportunity and sure fire road to wealth and riches!

And after that, they can just raise average tax rates to.... 80% or so to pay for everything. A simple solution, bound to be devoid of any complications, whatsoever.

The solution is not to increase taxes, the solution is not to cut taxes.

Right. Clearly, an average tax rate of 40% is not nearly enough. If only there was a way, a philosophy, if you will, whereby the government owned everything, so it could distribute everything fairly and help everyone in need. Surely that system would create a utopia on Earth.

How about nationalizing profits of profitable banks
