And the congressional power of the purse as outlined by the constitution is what, exactly?

Come on Lewk, be honest for a minute, had Obama done half the things that Trump has done you would be up in arms about the risks and dangers associated with an Imperial presidency.

"Trump’s initial January 2017 executive order banning entry to the United States by citizens of several Muslim-majority countries launched a fierce fight in federal courts over whether the policy amounts to an unlawful “Muslim ban” or is a legal exercise of presidential power.

The administration revised the policy following court challenges, and the Supreme Court allowed it to largely go into effect in December 2017 while legal challenges continued. In June 2018, the high court upheld the new version of the ban."

One of the successes of the Trump administration.

Come on guys, there have been *no* terrorist attacks in the US since the complete and total ban on Muslims entering the United States! We're SAFE now! That's a huge victory for Mr. Trump and for America!

Take your guess, terrorizing a children's story time or... mocking the Chinese delegation.

I recall everyone bellyaching about it being non-constitutional. Minor change, implemented, taken to the SCOTUS and declared acceptable. That's a win and another black eye for the 9th circuit.

You must mean a "win" in that Trump got something implemented a little like what he promised in his campaign? Because it's not a win in any other way. The ban does *nothing* at all to protect the US from terrorism, but it *does* alienate the wider Muslim community around the world. Is that the win you're talking about, damaging relations with anyone Muslim in the world? Or is it a win because anyone knowledgeable and sensible about the subject pointed out that it does nothing other than offend the Muslim world? And stickin' to experts and libs, rather than implementing good policy, is what Trump's all about. WOO! What a win!

Now all we need is to build that wall, another policy that won't actually do anything if implemented. The cost of that stupidity will only be billions of dollars earmarked for, presumably, *useful* things, probably better than making the US *less* safe in the world, as that Muslim Ban "win" did.

Wow, in just three short sentences you manage to mischaracterize every aspect of these policies and the challenges brought against them.

Sing in grief, a requiem, the curse of our millennium, these souls keep whispering from the river beds
An end to all these violent means, alive in these red water dreams, their haunted burdens stirring in my head on streets still running red
Most went in the flood, a few were martyred by the flames, yet those who unleashed the waters are still guilty all the same
When the ignorance of puppets serves the masters larger game, they let it rain, they let it rain
When I get the chance to rise I'll find the light in their cold eyes or lose myself and carry out revenge
The righteous hunt has just begun, the dimming of the bleeding sun will let these waters run clear once again

It is pitiful, Steely. But the media can't (and shouldn't) cover every Trump Tweet as a breaking news story. He uses Twitter to distract, deflect, and project. Been fairly successful so far, especially in 'messaging' to his base.

Starting to look like the GOPs rub and tug connections are showing that their pizza gate ranting was all just projection.

    anyone surprised?

Don't worry, the president encouraging govt employees to break the law and to lie to judges isn't an impeachable offense. Because, apparently, nothing is anymore.
