    Never seen someone so precisely turn social media on its head like Jackie Evancho has done today.

    She's the kid that sang at Trump's inauguration. The party rallied around her and her "courageousness" to perform when everyone else was turning down or cancelling their appearances. Well, today she spoke out against Trump's attack on transgenders (her sister is transgender). Holy shit, the same people that defended her decision to perform are now going ballistic about her being a child trying to play politics needing jesus and common sense. Such rabid and disgusting people.

    Twitter should be renamed Twatter as only twats seem to use it. On all sides of any divide it attracts the worst kind of arseholes.

    Her original post was on twitter. Most of the vileness I've seen so far has come from facebook. Shes one of my trending stories atm, and that page is full of post after post of disgusting people.

    So, there was no reason to think that Bannon was going to be anything but confrontational with the media during a joint appearance with Trump White House chief of staff Reince Priebus at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday afternoon.

    But, even by Bannon's standards, he seemed to ramp up his attacks on the media and offer a very clear message to political journalists: You think this is bad? Just wait.

    “It's going to get worse every day for the media,” Bannon said, insisting that the “corporatist” media would continue to see Trump pursue exactly the sort of economic nationalism that journalism allegedly despises. Then he added this call to arms: “If you think they are giving you your country back without a fight, you are sadly mistaken.”

    Such a good term. Sums him up well how did you guys elect such a joke as President? Unbelievable we have four more years of this to put up with.

    Never been more grateful for our system of having a Leader of the Opposition. We've had our own fair share of bad jokes reach that position but while Trump is in Corbyn's league I'm hopeful our system would prevent him actually reaching the General Election.

    Corbyn would make a worse Prime Minister than Brown, but he's not in Trump's league. Corbyn's just Bernie Sanders without the charisma or energy. For example, I read an article the other day, by a medical professional, seriously questioning, whether or not the President of the United States was suffering from neurosyphilis. I don't think that would happen in the unlikely event of a Corbyn ministry.

    As for the how, well, the Republican party and the right wing media has been stirring up this kind of populist, non-specific resentment of something something elites for decades because they thought they could use it to get their agenda through, and now it's bitten them in the ass, and by them I mean the country and the entire world. The Republicans themselves appear to be content to use Trump as an opportunity to fuck people over enact their agenda fuck people over, and don't seem even a little bit sorry about what they have wrought.

    The media in the US, and the political climate there in general, has a culture of rampant both sideism, that only actually 'works' (for a certain value of 'works') when the two candidates are both reasonable people. But because of this, the media did not give the Trump the proper scrutiny he should have gotten during the general, and basically gave him a load of free publicity during the primary because ratings (the campaign managers of the other candidates were, I hear, absolutely furious and rightly so).

    Hillary and the Dems made some errors too, but in no sane universe should Trump ever have been in a position to profit from them.

    It's been pretty hilarious seen the absolutely mental response to Trump's new NSA from Fox's viewers. First it was all IN YO FACE LIBTARDS TRUMP HAS THE BEST PEOPLE THIS GUYS SO SMRT AND AWESOME AND PATRIOT SEMPER FI WOO MAGA.
