This is your dumbest post so far this year.

    Which part do you reject?

That Mexico is a shitty country?

That the deported will return within a month?

That the parent/child bond shouldn't be weaker than the child/nation bond?

  3. #4533
That the entire family should be deported essentially when some of them are citizens.

Except that's not what I said. If a US citizen wants to stay they can however if breaking up families is so terrible why isn't the family moving with the deported person?

At this point I think we need a dedicated thread for this stuff.
We need a lot of dedicated threads for the Trump era. Too much is getting buried in this megathread

The issue is about asylum seekers being separated from babies and young children. You do know the majority aren't coming from Mexico, right?

No, Mexico is not a "shit hole". You can't expect to parrot Trump's language that way and not be called out, at least not here.
Mexico is a beautiful country, full of wonderful people, with pockets of poverty, gang violence, and corrupt politicians....just like the US.
If Mexicans do cross the border illegally to work in jobs Americans won't do (like manual labor in agriculture) it's not just due to "porous borders" but employers looking the other way, in exchange for cheap labor. No wall will solve that.

It's just one more thing, but any other federal employee would've been fired on the spot for something like this, and w/ any other president there would be an investigation.

Treasury yields moved sharply higher within seconds of a tweet from Trump that said he was “looking forward to seeing the employment numbers at 8:30 this morning.” He had never issued such a tweet before. Bloomberg News data also showed that the value of the U.S. dollar moved sharply higher after the Twitter post compared with previous trades the mornings jobs data are released. That means traders were probably making investment decisions based on signals they took from Trump’s post.
Fucking banana republic. But sure, totally worth it. Who needs laws and rules and norms?

I'd call him a clown but that'd be an insult to Pennywise.

It was worth it man. Laws and rules and ethics and norms and relationships with allies and trade and global security are not important. Shitting Evangelical poop all over the judiciary for a generation is.

You have to see this. It's fucking unbelievable. Even by 2018 standards it's un-fucking-believable in the most painful way.

How much you want to bet he couldn't get past the gold letter head or envelope?

Ah gotta hide the good news economic story with another Trump faux pas.

Worse than I originally guessed. This is some Blues Clues level shit.

US economic recovery continuing as expected is not news. POTUS breaking laws, rules and norms in a way that can economically benefit people w/ access to insider information is news. You guzzling down the Trump kool-aid is not news, because we all know you've been receiving their talking points from whatever MAGA-swamp you hang out at to find your craptastic memes.

This is actually an optical illusion. The envelope is an ordinary envelope but it looks comically large. He was obv trying to show that the letter had indeed been opened.

    Read the article.

"Trump, like past presidents, is given a preview of the sensitive report before its official release, but a 1985 directive issued by the Reagan administration requires that the executive branch not comment on the information until an hour after it is made public."

The head of the executive branch cannot curtail the powers of a future head of the executive branch. There is no legal issue here, just Trump bragging.

  19. #4549
Has Trump repealed the directive? If not he should still follow it. He absolutely has the right to repeal it if he wants but shouldn't violate it if he isn't doing so.

Nobody said there is a legal issue, just a moral one.

No leader is forever, Macron says as 'G6' gears up to confront Trump

Trump marginalised before the meeting has even convened. So much winning.

Which, by the way, means "interesting times" for Israel. If I was a member of the Israel government I'd be very nervous about the long-term support by the US.

The Koch brothers are funding a GOP opposition to Trump's stance.

There's a certain parallel to '33 where Krupp and other industrialists had to realize that they weren't in control and that the lunatic in charge actually believed the inanities he was shouting.

Remember when Republicans were all up in Obama's shit because he, quote, "emboldened our enemies and aliened our allies"? Good times.

The reporter must know that anyone with any sense of empathy would never accept a job from Trump.
