Default Don't you just love unions?

"For the scabs that choose to quit paying dues their names will be published and posted so members will know who the scabs are who do not pay dues. Statistically, when there are little to no scabs, wages and benefits remain the highest. As membership declines so do the wages and benefits so it is important to all of our futures to encourage all workers to be members of the Union and pay their share."

    Clearly no intimidation intended right?

The problem is that most people are now scabs.

The problem is that most workers are treated as costs that eat into corporate profit.

They are considered a cost and one of the few costs that can actually be managed.

You do realize the purpose of most companies is to make money as opposed to employ people. Very few people decide to start a business for the simple sake of employing people.

And the downside of this type of thinking is usually found in IT which is considered solely a cost factor. Only when you go bankrupt because you didn't want to spend money on actually working offsite-backups (and thus lost all your data to Cryptolocker) you then realize that some things have more than the one attribute "price tag".

I don't view that simplistic. Labor is a cost and the goal is to make money but hiring quality people can make you more money than always going for the lowest cost. My point with GGT is that business operates to make money not simply as a means of employing people something that I don't think GGT grasps.
