Default Woman charged with attempted first-degree murder for attempted abortion

A Tennessee woman was charged with attempted first-degree murder last week for allegedly trying to use a coat hanger to end her pregnancy. Anna Yocca, 31, was arrested in Tennessee in September after she showed up bleeding at a hospital, fearing for her health and safety. She gave birth to a very premature baby boy, who was just 24 weeks along and weighed one and a half pounds.
Given what little we know of the case:

    - Do you believe a woman should be charged with attempted murder if she tries to induce an abortion? (no comment on the specifics of this case since something may come to light that would explain the batshit insane decision)

    - If she'd tried this earlier on in the pregnancy, would that change matters?

    - Many women in the US try to induce abortions on their own without medical assistance. What can reasonably be done to reduce that number significantly?

    Yes.

    Yes.

Fix our education system and teach kids the value of delayed gratification. The benefits that come from this are outstanding. General awareness that you can give up a child no questions asked in most states as well.
