    Default Evil

Crucifixion and Burning. This the face of modern day evil. How anyone could have any positive feelings for these animals is stunning. More needs to be done to end these savages. Outside of WWII it is hard to imagine a more horrific display of cruelty and evil in the modern era.

"Evil" is a constant over time, with different definitions, from different groups. Galileo was considered a heretic in his own time......

What's your point, Lewk? If you want the US to intervene in countries where children are starving....then you want our military presence in the whole world?

Did you really just make the childish argument that morality is subjective and therefore we shouldn't call ISIS evil? That's where you want to be on this discussion?

I suggested that morality is relative and contextual in space and time. See the Christian Crusades for bad definitions of Evil.

So bloody what? Are we in the Middle Ages now?

We can only deal with the time period we are in.

That aside, simplistic terms such as Evil do not really get us anywhere. But I would hope you can just admit that crucifixion and burning people alive as a form of execution is just plain out and out wrong.

It is infantile to hide behind morality relativity in order to say nothing is good nor evil. Might as well not ever discuss good/bad, right/wrong and good/evil. Grow up please.

"A former ISIS sex slave urged Congress Tuesday to more aggressively fight the terror group and offered her condolences for the massacre in Orlando, saying she's not surprised by it.

Nadia Murad, a Yazidi who escaped captivity in 2014, told the Senate Homeland Security committee that "the USA must act. We must terminate Daesh (ISIS) and all such terror."
"Daesh will not give up their weapons unless we force them to give up their weapons," she testified, with the assistance of a translator. "The Yazidi people cannot wait."
Murad called on the U.S. and other countries "to establish a safe and protected zone for Iraqi and Syrian religious minorities," which President Barack Obama has repeatedly rejected."

"A UN report released last week estimated that ISIS holds about 3,500 slaves and that the terror group continues to subject women and children to sexual violence, particularly in the form of sexual slavery. The report said ISIS' actions "may, in some instances, amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and possibly genocide."
Secretary of State John Kerry said in March that the U.S. had determined that ISIS' brutality constituted genocide."
