Right, because the island is about 12 miles between the shores at its widest point, and uhh, ehhh, umm, 5 miles at its uhh, least widest location between the shores.

Nope! But it was briefly up for auction... starting at 21 million GBP. One of these days, it will be mine, and once I own my very own sovereign nation, ... muahahaha!

Then the AI should be given complete control of the world's nuclear arsenals with the ability to launch on any target it chooses. That would probably fix everything.

All the telephones in the world will ring simultaneously. (2 points if you can name the reference)

    Dial F for Frankenstein?
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

Yep. A bit of a rip from Flowers For Algernon - where it should have gone I guess instead of the depressing slide back into mental challenge
