Thread: Brexit Begins

You really are satanspawn, aren't you? Surely this thread can be finally allowed to die? How many years after Brexit?
Last night as I lay in bed, looking up at the stars, I thought, “Where the hell is my ceiling?"

Tbf, Brexit is still very much an ongoing process, and we're now getting to see the specific outcomes instead of just general predictions. To win Brexit, consider working as a lorry driver for Waitrose

And now the U.S.A. chimes in...

this is not a threat, it’s a prediction

In other words embrace the burden or find a different trading partner.

Why does the UK sign deals (and call the deal great), aaand then complain and don't want to implement that same deal? Oh well.

All English politics is domestic, 80% of it is just electioneering. Consequently, the first English political instinct is "fudge".

Actually, they could have had any color they wanted as members of the EU. Not all EU countries switched to burgundy. And all that did, did so voluntarily.

Seems like De Pfeffel is slowly starting to understand that ending freedom of movement wasn't such a brilliant plan; today he gave the go-ahead for easing of requirements for truck drivers. Too bad for him that most EU drivers thtat left have no interest in returning to a country that if hostile to immigration, has worse working conditions and lower pay.

Doesn't 30 pounds get you about 2 liters of gas in England?

Do they still use liters? That sounds way too continental.

They really fucked up on that one. I don't think there's a brit left who knows what half of their daily used measurements is translated into the other standard they also use.

I'm wondering if anyone here has an example of what good brexit brought? For the average brit I mean. I can see its advantages for us on the continent.

I hear some stories about the EU reaching the point where they think it's not useful to put down ultimata any longer.

I'd bet this is the reason he has quit this forum. Well, this and LittleFuzzy's last dig at him...

I expect that nonsense from Hazir but not from you.

What have I ever relayed inaccurately?

This was a little surprising, given Tory politicians' well-attested love for pigs

The UK has negotiated a trade deal with New Zealand. Seems like the most positive prediction on its impact on the British economy is that it will add nothing at all. That’s when things go well

well i guess that's what we get for asparaging brexit
