The one hope such minorities in an independent Kurdistan might have is that western allies of the kurds could make their support conditional on not persecuting minorities. Of course, making such demands would just risk making the kurds isolate themselves and make things worse for minorities. Still, a nation surrounded be enemies needs powerful allies.
