    While not completely out of the woods, I'm glad I switched to AMD this cycle. Some intel configs are looking at a 30% performance hit.

    That's for something like a database server with lots of disk I/O. A desktop PC won't be hit as hard and gamer PCs even less, given the fact that game developers have always tried to avoid syscalls for the longest time because of the performance hits they bring.

    That's a good point to consider from a business angle —*are companies with major cloud infrastructure like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, etc. going to have to spend substantially more on hardware per available cycle?

    If so, which company stocks should we buy?
