Over the past few years, attacks on hospitals have become increasingly common. In Syria, Putin's and Assad's forces regularly attack hospitals with impunity, both protected by Russia's influence and the world's spinelessness. These flagrant and deadly violations of the principle of medical neutrality are, in theory, war crimes, but are almost never prosecuted:

Even when the acts are committed by western forces, it is practically unheard of for there to even be a thorough, independent and transparent investigation. Western powers have been--and continue to be--complicit in the erosion of this norm, despite being more likely to adhere to it than eg. the crooks in the East. Some hold on to vain hopes for the IHFFC, but I believe that it will never accomplish anything meaningful in the present world order. Some reading on the IHFFC:

Now we have information suggesting that Turkey bombed the hospital in Afrin:

Will Turkey be punished? Should Turkey be punished? Who should call for punishment? Who'll protect the Turks from consequences?
