    Irrational hatred of women currently trumps irrational hatred of Muslims? Impressive.

    And found guilty. Sadly it looks like the wife is walking away without punishment. She instigated the entire event. What a shitty racist person.

    He fired. When you could clearly see the victim was running away. Not even reaching into his pockets there is zero room for confusion. Not sure what she did but surely he is the guilty one.

    He absolutely is. The wife went crazy, screaming for her husband and to 911 about being robbed, even after answering the door and speaking to the boy knowing full well he was asking for directions.

    Freaking out inside your own home, while pathetic isn't punishable. Firing at a terrified teen running away from you is. Should face a very long sentence, there's no way that was justifiable.

    Ryanair = UK now?

    You'll have to walk me through how the UK is responsible for a private Irish companies flight attendant's responsibilities.

    Ryanair are responsible for allowing this to happen on the flight. The very first line of the article is "Customers have threatened to boycott Ryanair after airline staff failed to remove a racially abusive man from a flight", everyone in the article and online are criticising Ryanair for tolerating this bullshit but yeah you make it about the UK. Juvenile.

    Judging from the video and additional info this is an English man subjecting a black woman to racial abuse. Ryanair did not attack her, and they reported him to the police.

    Ryanair allowed this to happen and offered to move the victim rather than kick the offender off the flight. It's not excusable, the company should apologise and the offender should be prosecuted.

    Pretty obvious that the conservative fantasy can most accurately be summarized as "a good white guy with a gun". Black guys with guns are target practice.

    Beginning to think all of these are just specific instances of the more general phenomenon "being black while black".

    I've always had the same rules at work (for anyone food handling).

    But from the video the hair is being cut much, much shorter than that. Plus he was planning on wearing a covering, as allowed. So this make no sense at all.

    It does make sense. People keep saying that these events don't make sense, but they all make sense.

    No, he thinks that anything bad that happens to a member of a group he doesn't care about and that wasn't caught on video as it happened... didn't happen. In reality, either many more incidents if racism have begun to occur since the rise of smartphones, or lewk was wrong as fuck when he believed, back before smartphones, that these things almost never occurred.

    Only a tiny percentage of the population is racist. Just like the risk of violence is far lower today than in other eras, we still see reports of violence far more frequently than we did in prior eras.

    No one suggests racism doesn't exist anymore, however I do suggest that absent proof we should err on the side of "yeah this could be an attention seeking hoax" as opposed to 'oh noes racism is everywhere again.'
