Everyone knew they'd go after legal immigrants. Even ordinary, decent, law-abiding ones. Good neighbors. But a little too brown for America 2.0.

So much for supposedly only being against illegal migrants and those who "jump the queue"

33 states provide immediate CHIP coverage to legal immigrants. Looking at public assistance for anyone in the family would pretty much bring our legal immigration to a grinding halt.

This administration and their GOP/conservative enablers are absolute scum. Combine this with lewk's mind numbing argument about being superior and it really drives home how fucked up these people are.

At first they'll threaten to make this apply to people who've made use of Obamacare or who have American children that have benefited from programmes they're fully entitled to. Then they will seem more reasonable or look like they've been defeated when they agree to not target those groups (yet).

But don't worry, brown people can't feel distress and they don't really love their kids as much as they love benefits.

This here to me is the most fucky part about it:

But when he went for his citizenship interview in August 2017, the USCIS officers told him they were going to revisit the decision to waive the fake passport incident, meaning he could potentially lose his green card as well.
That's undermining the basis upon which all law rests: If a decision for a one-time incident has been reached and is not contested, the decision shall be binding.

Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

I'm not in support of this move however there is an obvious non-racial component to why Republican strategists would want to do this.

Family Reunification (the very thing Melania's folks used to get their recent citizenship) is called "chain migration" by Trump. And he lies that dozens of relatives come with each new legal immigrant, at least in speeches to his base, and the crowd cheers.

Stephen Miller is just one scary 'advisor' in Trump's administration

Deeply disturbing profile of this deeply disturbing kook:

In functioning organizations, such nutjobs are relegated to the fringes or booted out the door after the first crazy rant. The US has turned Kathaksung into a powerful policymaker.

What makes them morons in this case? They don't want those students here. They hate that the student-visa programs in general. Since they don't have the power to just get rid of them, however, they do things like this deliberately. There's no way in which this policy is not a "win" for the figures like Miller, from their perspectives.
Last night as I lay in bed, looking up at the stars, I thought, “Where the hell is my ceiling?"
