    Default Terror attack in Amsterdam

Last friday there was a knife attack in Amsterdam's Central Station with a terrorist purpose. I just read an article on how the attacker was disabled within 9 seconds of starting his attack, during which he managed to wound 2 American tourists. What was surprising to me was that the policemen who took him out weren't members of some special task force but just three regular police men on street duty. As it turns out police officers in The Netherlands have been getting regular trainings on spotting 'incongruent behavior' and how to react to 'elements of extreme violence'. The idea behind that being that in situations like the one that occured in Amsterdam you simply can't afford to wait for specialist squads. Seems like the policy actually is paying off.
Greece shows us that there is a kind of politician worse than the ones that break their election promises; the ones that keep their election promises.

Well done Dutch Police. Sad that it's come to this but well done indeed.
