Default And liberals wonder why we don't want more refugees

"A Syrian refugee living in Canada was arrested for the 2017 killing of a teenager whose body was found in a secluded area of a park outside Vancouver, a report said Monday.

Ibrahim Ali, 28, was apprehended at home on Friday and charged with first degree murder for the slaying of 13-year-old Marrisa Shen, according to the Vancouver Sun."

On average, Americans are killing 50 other Americans on any given day. And then you wonder why America doesn't want more Americans.
Hope is the denial of reality

This argument falls apart for several reasons however the biggest one is... you can't deport Americans. As a citizen we can't just remove them. Illegal Immigrants or refugees on the other hand...

America doesn't have an under population problem. Bringing people over that put American citizens at risk just doesn't make sense. Especially when they come from countries that make it nearly impossible for them to be properly vetted.

So if you could deport Americans would you deport them all? Then you'd have zero murders.

Or would that be absurd and ridiculous?

Not the white Christian conservatives. Get rid of everyone else and you'd have a crime-free America.
    The Rules
Copper- behave toward others to elicit treatment you would like (the manipulative rule)
Gold- treat others how you would like them to treat you (the self regard rule)
Platinum - treat others the way they would like to be treated (the PC rule)

No you can't deport people you dislike who are American citizens. You can throw them in prison though (and I do think we should be keeping violent offenders in prison for far longer). But that's only after they have done something. As AMERICANS they have rights.

Unless you just pretend they're not Americans. You can do that, come up with some pretext for challenging their citizenship, and then even if all their legal documents show they were born in the US you can throw them into ICE detention without any due process and start work on deporting them.

Pretty much every single optional policy has a non-zero impact on lives saved and lost. You'll have to weigh lives lost against whatever you hope to gain. For example, increasing pollution by altering environmental protection regulations leads to many lives lost over time, but you might prefer that to inconveniencing crappy businesses. The US's absurd lack of sensible gun-control legislation leads to many deaths every year, but you might prefer that to puncturing the delusional bubbles of a bunch of macho fatasses who dream of fighting the govt. The US's decision to restrict access to healthcare leads to thousands of lives lost every year, yet you might prefer that to helping your less fortunate countrymen lead safer, healthier lives. And so on. In each case, you and your execrable brethren embrace policies whose death tolls can be numbered in the tens of thousands--far more than are ever killed by immigrants--for questionable benefit.

By taking in refugees and other asylum-seekers, we save many more lives than we lose. First and foremost, we save the lives of many of those people we take in, who would've died earlier and/or suffered more, had they not been granted asylum. We save many of their children from dying prematurely. Beyond that, we save lives through the goods and services they produce, and the welfare they enable through paying taxes.

If your concern is saving lives, you should abandon the GOP agenda, embrace environmentalism, demand gun-control, call for universal healthcare and start taking in many more of the tens of millions of refugees in the world right now. But we all know that your agenda isn't saving lives--it's just plain-old racism, which is why you keep posting arguments that clearly show you believe the value of a non-white immigrant's life is approximately zero. Lewkowski, you are extremely transparent.

As humans, every single person on this planet has the right to seek asylum, even in America. As immigrants in America, they have other rights as well, under both domestic and international law. Nothing you say or do will ever change this fact.

Well said, minx Lewk, you should check with the Evangelical Christians who host many refugees (Hmong, Somalis, etc.) before you make blanket statements about "we" or liberals.

It's not surprising that a person/maggot might come to absurd conclusions when they presume a human life is worth 0 or that equations only have one side.

The Trump administration has reduced the refugee cap to 30,000. That's outrageous, pathetic, sad
