    Default Sweden Doing Something Right

    https://www.thelocal.se/20180914/swe...-faces-charges

"The Swedish student who livestreamed her onboard protest against the deportation of an Afghan asylum seeker over the summer is being charged with violating Sweden's Aviation Act, broadcaster SVT reported on Friday.

Student activist Elin Ersson protested against the Swedish government's policy of deporting some rejected asylum seekers to Afghanistan by boarding an Istanbul-bound flight that carried an Afghan man who was to be returned home after being denied asylum."

Hopefully they throw the book at the little idiot. I'm under no illusions that they will and it's far more likely she'll walk away with a slap on the wrist but the sheer gall of someone to actually try to interfere with the operation of an aircraft is insane. And the absolutely absurdity of officials actually accommodating the request is beyond insane. Remove her and let the deportation take place. In the end he was deported anyway but not on that flight... why would they even try to negotiation or bargain with her? Really ridiculous.

Thoughts on Trump praising a congressman for assaulting a journalist (a crime to which the congressman pleaded guilty)?
Hope is the denial of reality

He shouldn't have done that as it undercuts the message of the angry mobs on the left.

I don't think that this girl did anything particularly good. Not even for refugees.
    Congratulations America

But not because praising crime and criminals is wrong?

It's not as if the congressman did something serious, like steal a toothbrush while black.
There's a man goin' 'round, takin' names
And he decides who to free and who to blame

Aww, someone is getting their panties in a bunch over their Proud Boy brothers getting arrested for violent attacks.

No, no, no. From Lewk's perspective, what Gianforte did wasn't simply "not serious"--it was laudable. Lewk is grade A5 MAGA, full of resentment and a love of violence directed against whatever groups make them feel small. Beating up a journalist for asking questions is praiseworthy in the eyes of these halfwits. See their reaction to Kavanaugh's gross performance before the Senate. They eat this shit right up--and, yes, it is pathetic.

That name is so weird. What do a bunch of mediocre losers with no impulse control who believe their masculine energy can be sapped by soybeans and masturbation have to be proud of?

Not sure I follow. Are you asking me to decide if Trump was being *moral* about it? Dudes a serial adulterer I've never suggested Trump is a beacon of virtue, of course I'm going to look at it via the political lens.

We'll see how it goes, it is likely that some people may have taken it too far but ultimately it will come down to who struck who first.

I think most people are in 100% agreement if you are assaulted you have the right to self defense and are allowed to strike back. However in these kinds of situations where you have Person A on team Antifa punch or throw a projectile at Person Z on team Proud Boy. If person Z then fights back but hits Person B on team Antifa who did not use violence than person Z is in the wrong.

All that said Proud Boys have some weird as fuck rituals like requiring members to get tattoos to reach a certain level? Yeah certainly not a representation of mainstream Republicans.
