    Default Hate Crime or Random Murder?

    //
    Surveillance video from a nearby gas station showed the unidentified driver walk up to Tyler and punch him in the face. Several witnesses standing nearby watched Tyler drop to the ground.

    Much of the video is too graphic to show, but, at one point, Tyler tried to get up but the punches and kicks continued.

    A witness was able to pull the man off of Tyler, and the man even appeared to try to swing at that witness. Then everyone but Tyler walked away as they left him to die. The suspect then ran away with three other males.

    If anyone recognizes Lawrence James Davis, or knows of his whereabouts, or has any information pertaining to this crime, please call Detroit Police Department's Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260.

    If a random white guy beat a black guy to death after a car accident how quickly would people state it was a hate crime? So if the races are reversed should we also declare this to be a hate crime whenever a random black guy beats a white to death?

    Here's an idea. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. In the absence of specific evidence that an attack is racially motivated we should either

    A. Always assume it is a hate crime

    OR

    B. Never assume it is a hate crime

    So what should it be prior to evidence? Always or Never? Or are you a racist liberal like Loki who thinks it is acceptable to treat people differently solely based on their skin color?

    What does "prior to evidence" matter?

    This is equally as idiotic as your "burden of proof in public opinion".

    Without actual evidence that it is a hate crime one should not assume it is simply because of the race of the victim and the offender. IE for example with no other information than "white guy stabs black guy" we should not assume racist motives.

    We can add this to the list of injustices Lewk cares about because the victim is a white male.
    Hope is the denial of reality

    Yeah that's why I care about the Brain Banks case and the Andy Ngo case. All about the whites right?
