Peter and the Wolf, as I remember it from my childhood.
It's not just a beautiful piece of music with a moral tale, it's the difference between Boris Karloff and David Bowie narrating!
I didn't really understand the story as a child, because I knew wolves didn't swallow their prey whole and alive, and the duck wouldn't be quacking in the wolf's belly. But I did love the musical orchestration and the narration as a package. It reminds me how Disney took the story of Winnie the Pooh, and turned it into a blockbuster, because kids like me loved our whimsical animals.
