I feel like I may have used that Kafka comparison a little prematurely, because, this shit's legit Kafkaesque:

Are you surprised a government agency makes mistakes?
The one your idol is trying to empower?
Hope is the denial of reality
You guys have to remember that lewk doesnt give a shit about these mistakes. He thinks the death penalty works and needs used more often while ignoring that it has a greater than 0% record of killing innocent people. As long as the non-whites suffer most he is aok with it.

"In a field where an overlooked bug could cost millions, you want people who will speak their minds, even if they’re sometimes obnoxious about it."
The three countries with the largest economies all have the death penalty. We must be doing something right.
Obscene and outrageous. One example of why so many people think ICE should be disbanded and re-configured.
It's bad enough that you can't get a driver's license renewed because your birth certificate is rejected (and you end up in ICE detention)....but ICE can also get access to state DL data bases, and use facial recognition to scan for people who 'look' like suspects, or have 'foreign sounding names'. Never mind that in several states (13?) it's perfectly legal to get a DL even if you're not a US citizen, including undocumented immigrants.
GoGoUSA#1! That lady in the NYT story is gonna vote for Trump again!
You reap what you sow.Tracy Nuetzi, a Trump voter and resident of Florida, was an American citizen for 60 years, until the country decided she wasn’t.
Like lambs to the slaughter. She ended up doing it all on her own, but she said she continues to believe Mr. Trump will “make America great again.” She intends to vote for him in 2020.

Insane if true, in light of the article in the OP. Haven't been able confirm yet.

Well indeed.
Thousands of US citizens can be wrongly arrested by immigration [despite being citizens] but who cares they look ethnic.
But if a woman says she's raped by a man she's probably lying and before we take any action we need to thoroughly make sure she's not lying, can't risk a mistake.
This obscures some of the nuance in Lewk's analytical framework, which implements an intersectionality-of-hate approach that incorporates race, ethnicity, gender, presumed ideological affiliation and salience to various alt-right obsessions, with additional weighting based on repugnancy and, well, derpery.

It shouldn't take 3 weeks to confirm US Citizenship. And 'detention' conditions shouldn't be this horrible for anyone, regardless of citizenship.
Also, are these Border Patrol *inland checkpoints* even legal? They were stopped 100 miles from the border on the suspicion of being *in* the US illegally, not crossing illegally. Sounds like racial profiling....

Mistakes like this? Yes. ICE should take all due dilligence and an overwhelming presumption of innocence. If someone shows proof they're a citizen they should be released immediately, but they shouldn't even be detained unless ICE have PROOF they're not a citizen already. You don't detain without that.

Pfft a judge could've easily solved this problem by just deporting this brownie

Incognito?
Also if you put urls in Google translate going from Spanish to English you should be able to click on the result and open it that way

Just disable Javascript
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
Many sites use js to serve up gdpr-related notices and paywalls over their articles
"One day, we shall die. All the other days, we shall live."
So it looks like "innocent until proven guilty" doesn't apply to brown people, it only applies to white rapists and traitors.
