This would be compelling were it not for the fact that the conservative American party, all its representatives, and nearly all its supporters have all fallen in line behind Trump. It's not a fringeāit's roughly 40% of the electorate. Republican Voters for Trump are the fringe.

They are yes but they're a light in the dark, hopefully they can be the basis from which the GOP can be turned away from its current insanity.
The GOP needs one of the biggest hammering ever for an incumbent seeking re-election to demonstrate just how unforgivable its current madness is.
The biggest hammering might just be what the Democrats get this time around. The Republican convention appears to have been well thought out and even much better presented compared to the whiny Democratic convention.

Unless you think anyone wants to waste time impeaching him a second time this is the wrong thread Aimy. This is more appropriately an election issue than impeachment. He has already been impeached. What good would a second impeachment bring about? Do you think the Senate might change their stance on absolute Presidential impunity? 45 has already been impeached.

That's all right, it's perfectly possible to impeach him again. POTUS openly encouraging citizens to commit blatant voter fraud should be more difficult to spin than POTUS abusing his power to—covertly and obliquely—extort a foreign power; reporters should be hammering Trump's water-carriers in Congress over this one—mercilessly.
