Thread: Aaaaand he's out

    Default Aaaaand he's out

What a singularly pathetic ending to a singularly pathetic presidency. So much left to do, with tens of millions of useless Lewks ready to stir up shit... but still an important day.

Ding dong, the Don is gone.
I could have had class. I could have been a contender.

I bet he's pardoned himself. Apparently pardons can be sealed and kept secret unless or until required by a court.

Not legally clear at all. Unprecedented, and many reasons to believe it would not be in keeping with the intentions of the pardon power.

I don't think I ever felt this emotional for the beginning of a new administration in the USA. I'm close to tears knowing that that man won't be the President after less than and hour.
    Congratulations America

I remember people I know, family members amongst others in the UK, who were in tears of joy when Obama was inaugurated.

Its like having a painful wisdom tooth removed. Two of my wisdom teeth grew in wrong and had to be extracted, by the time they were the pain was incredible, the relief afterwards once they were gone was remarkable.

Simply the absence of pain can bring sheer relief.

At this very moment Trump is president and Harris is vice president.

Not anymore but technically he was when you wrote that and technically Pence was still Veep.

Biden and Harris are officially sworn in just before their term officially begins, but the term officially began during Biden's speech. The official handover is exactly on the hour, midday in DC. That's set out in the Constitution.

I didn't, but I got super-emotional during the inauguration, anyway.

But I wanted to talk about how Harris wrapped herself in Dodge's Plum Crazy Purple.
