Counterstrike via Browser!
If you miss playing classic Counterstrike, I just found this set of online servers that allow you to play the game via a conventional browser: https://cs-online.club/en/servers
I'm still terrible! But sometimes I do really well and frustrate real people on the interwebs, and I find it delightful.
The only FPS I loved were Battlezone, Starsiege and Mechwarrior.
I always sucked elsewhere.
