What a load of crap. Sure, the stupid-ass unions around here protect those who should be forced out. But they also protect the ones who "just don't fit" like the guys who don't buy into the meme of protecting their comrades from the consequences of their criminal behavior. That part comes out in the wash. But you'll still have the bad cops protected because anyone who doesn't buy into protecting them is out on their ass. That "loyalty" meme has nothing to do with public sector unions. This is just an end-run to promote more corruption, not less.
