Racism vs Asians at MIT
Colleges not able to discriminate on the basis of race in admissions (ie not able to be racist) has led to a jump in admissions of Asians from 41% to 47% at MIT. It also decreased black enrollment from 13% to 5%. I don?t know how much more clearly it can be illustrated that Asians were the victims of systemic racism. It seems if your skin is the right color (black) you will have the privilege of not needing the same academic merit - at least that used to be true before the SCOTUS took action!

?The steepest drop was reflected in Black student enrollment: 5% of this year's incoming class will be Black, compared with 13% from 2024 to 2027. Hispanic student enrollment went down from 15% in recent years to 11% this year.
The percent of white students shifted only slightly, from 38% in recent years to 37% this year. Asian American student enrollment climbed to 47% this year compared with 41% in previous years (this figure doesn't include international students).?
