Air,

it was a fun high-thrill drama with Affleck and Damon. Not gonna stock to memory too long, but I enjoyed it a lot throughout.

Attack on Titan, after having put the series on pause for a few years, I have been pestered to watch the rest claiming it to be a masterpiece. I enjoy it a lot more than I did when quitting it last time. Definitely gonna be one of those shows where you burn through episodes.

I really don't know if I want to see another biopic. Especially of someone who's still alive.

Across the Spider-Verse is as close to a perfect movie experience as I've ever had. not even mad abt having to wait for the conclusion.

D&D movie—weird direction, clunky editing, casting an absolute mess... yet somehow very enjoyable. I have no idea why, but we really enjoyed it. Solid feelgood movie.

Black Adam—it was okay. Better than I expected! I like DC embracing magic but DC movies have such utterly abominable dialogue that it almost hurts. Glad I didn't see it at the movies.

Shazam—it was aight. Some really solid parts, some really garbage parts. Lucy Liu wasn't good in this at all, tragic waste. Zachary Levy is such a bad fit for this role. Mostly I just wanna know how they managed to make a movie abt a 6000yo woman getting it on with an emotionally damaged 17yo boy without anyone catching on.

Well made anti-war movie. Learned today that all sides engaged in attacks after the signing. For that there is literally no reason to give. More than 10.000 dead young men for no other reason than that their commanders couldn't deal with the fact that it was all over.

Red Rocket as the result of a random start on Skyshowtime. I really liked this one; a washed out porn actor comes back home after 17 years in L. A. and has a hard time building back his life. At times it felt like watching an unscripted show.

I wasn't very impressed. It wasn't bad, but I could empathize with someone in the audience asking 'when does the action come?'

Guardians of the Galaxy 3. On Disney+. Much more engaging than expected. Rockets backstory was heart wrenching.

I suspect you never went to a cinema with children. The last time I did, I had to leave. Because one of them found the jungle animals in the PG movie I had taken them to too scary. On the way back home, another one of them fell asleep in the metro and somehow could not be awoken again.

The Little mermaid. I have some problems with the movie, nonr of which have to do with 'race-switching'. For who was this movie made? There are no real stakes, no deeper motivations for what the main characters do. It feels disjointed and often illogical. Not to mention the fact that it's weirdly supportive of a system of production and trade that smacks of what we call colonialism in the real world AND that it super-imposes today's environmental issues on an 18th century - ish society. What is the take away there? Sail ships are bad for nature? How does Ariel's song after she gave away her voice make any sense? The list goes on and on. And then there's the little issue that the story is way too dark for most children. If I had any children the least I would do, is make certain of is that they don't watch this alone.

Blue Beetle. Surprisingly good for a DC movie. About on par with the first Wonder Woman movie. The third act was a CGI-fest and the villain had the same powers as the protagonist, but I guess these things are unavoidable at this point.
