Saw Alita: Battle Angel a few days ago. Gorgeous action-packed movie with all the characteristic Rodriguez problems: no real humour, soul, emotional connection or purpose. Waste of a promising premise. The soundtrack was bad, and the ending was... not good. Still, it is a fairly unique production and I don't regret seeing it.

Alita was amazing, the action and CGI deserve to win awards. I also thought Alita was surprisingly expressive. Some of the lines were jarring but they fit her character well. The ending is a clear set up for a sequel and I can only hope that China is enough to make it profitable.Originally Posted by Aimless
