I gotta say, this case makes it very clear why a lot of people are hesitant to take the police's word these days: the amount of false information given out to protect themselves is embarrassing. You should be able to trust the police's statements, yet clearly you can't.
American cops have always been notorious liars. But, even in that context, this is pretty remarkable. Incompetent scum don't deserve more funding and support.
With the video from the school now public, I don't think these officers can remain in the community for much longer.

40% of the city's budget goes to idjits who are less prepared for school shootings than literal kids.
And the voters had a chance to do something about it and chose not to.
