I would like you to substantiate this claim of attacks, but if wishes were fishes, right?

Just last week you made it seem that I enjoyed killing babies because I wanted to reduce benefits. :bored:
My reproductive organs are my own personal property. I was born like this, and don't have to "earn" my gender, anatomy or physiology. That's about as God-given as you can get, but you'd allow teh big bad gummit power to limit/ban my reproductive choices, restrict my self-determination and personal freedom?
Methinks you're a confused conservative, who forgot the common ground with "liberals and hippies" when it comes to personal privacy.
I admit some of my posts were, er, oblique and impenetrable. But I do maintain that there are problems with Lewk's notion that he owns the land or the world's oil in the sense that he seems to believe he does. That conflict of opinion is necessarily philosophical in nature. Pragmatism compels us to concede that eg. oil can be owned by Lewk, but what that "ownership" means is a question that lies in the realm of philosophy as much as it lies in the realm of day-to-day driving. Ultimately, this sort of question lies at the heart of several of our conflicts over the rights and obligations of govt and society vs. those of the individual. For that reason, I don't think it's right to short-change this discussion.
:bulb:
You argumented that taxation is morally wrong as it is forced on unwitting participants. You earlier complained that
" The lefties attack everyone else for their supposed immorality."
Your only argument there was hand-wringing over the supposed coercion which was being lampooned in the first place. You don't attack political views, you bark at anything that displeases you, person or idea.
Yes, and yet my socialist paradise is known for restricting in various ways what the "owner" of "private property" can do with his "property". I'm going to refrain from attacking your character and instead point out that I have repeatedly said that my contention is with what ownership means, not with the general notion of ownership as a concept necessary for most aspects of human existence.
Of the regular D&Ds I'd say in no particular order:
Right: Lewk, Loki, Veldan, Dread (ish might call him centre) and myself.
Left: GGT, OG, Minx, Chaloobi, Steely, Hazir, Nessus and Ziggy.
Centrish: wiggin and Fuzzy.
Apologies if I missed anyone. Interestingly the left is represented globally but I can't think of any non-American rights besides myself. Maybe it's just my perspective but I think the right independently disagrees with each other more often than the left does.
Every year in the US, many people with health insurance (or Govt. Medicare) can change their insurance preferences around late October/early November.
Due to increased costs and mandates from Obamacare, my employer re-bid the entire company's workforce. We went from having 4 provider choices to just one (with two different options). Oh, and our employee premiums were increased slightly.
I still get a great deal, but hopefully middle-class voters are paying attention to all their mail on these issues. :bored:
Look at you attacking the person, not their politics. Do you realize how much pressure Mittens has been under after people have inspected what he has said? Why would you place our Loki to the same gauntlet as the challenging presidential hopeful forcefully refuses to undergo?

I almost want to see Romney win the election to see the fun the Onion would have with Ryan as veep after the splendid job they did with Biden.
If Romney wins then here's hoping for Ryan 2020
Romney winning would be delicious.
