Memorial Day
Remembering and commemorating military men and women who died during war, paying the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Seen in town parades, patriotic flag-waving, sticking mini flags at soldier cemetery grave sites, visitors at Arlington National Cemetery and national monuments dedicated to soldiers, laying wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the national (bank) holiday, BBQs and picnics, lots of war movies all weekend long on AMC.....
<The older movies are especially good at romanticizing war>
I wondered if the US has a total list of ALL soldiers who died from ALL our wars combined, declared and undeclared? I think we should have something like the national debt clock that keeps track of each death, and another for every combat-related injury.
