Christmas lights are so last year

"In a field where an overlooked bug could cost millions, you want people who will speak their minds, even if they’re sometimes obnoxious about it."

    Bet his neighbours don't though.

    Bloody Nora!
I could have had class. I could have been a contender.
I could have been somebody. Instead of a bum
    Which is what I am

    I aim at the stars
    But sometimes I hit London

It's like my body goes into a state of being drunk when hearing that song. Man, I miss high school now.
Tomorrow is like an empty canvas that extends endlessly, what should I sketch on it?

Can't seem to find this on YouTube. Hope people can access it. Hard not to tear up...especially when the newscaster audibly starts doing the same at the end.

After an 8-pack and with some proper, and then I mean proper, bass booming subwoofers, you will like that song when you're on the dancefloor. Maybe if you were young..

"I miss my Uncle Charles, y'all." That video used to creep me out a bit...

Now this song will be stuck in my head all night. Thanks

Don't worry, Cat. There's always another tune to get stuck in your head.

Ever since REM "announced" their retirement, I've been hearing this song in my head. Funny, this was the first time I've seen the music video.

At around 2.40 they show the people and their excitement...it's disgusting. It's incredible how a political philosophy from the 19th century has enslaved millions, killed countless innocents, and yet it's still being toyed around with today as if it has a chance
The present state of the world is not the proof of philosophy's impotence, but the proof of philosophy's power. It is philosophy that has brought men to this state-it is only philosophy that can lead them out.

    Yes

    Yes

    This is what I wanted

In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

    Want one!
When the stars threw down their spears
And watered heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

This is the organisation that's promoting it and seeking funds to have it aired on Australia tv http://www.getup.org.au/
