    Default US politics truth

In Obama's speech of State of Union, he talked about almost everything: health care; spending cut.... but the core: the two war in Mid-east.

Nobody dares to touch it. Law makers, government officials, even media. Nobody dares to touch it. The Internet swift boat team guide people to gossip this on Obama, that on Obama, only they too, dare not to touch the war on Iraq and war in Afghanistan. That is the core of US politics.

Obama can save more by withdrawing US army from Iraq and Afghanistan than his save plan in government budget. He can save much more by cutting the budget of Pentagon which occupies half of the whole world's military spending. When so many poor people, even middle class need help, the ruling class throw money in war.

That core they dare not to touch is: there is still an un-finished war - war on Iran. That’s why they find every excuse to keep a big army in Mid-East.

Kathaksung - remember that you are to keep to one thread if its going to be the same as over at Atari. If I see a load of threads again like this I will be closing them, pick which one you want.

  7. #7
The long thread you had attracted more the attention because we all knew there were things to read.
I think one thread was more effective than many.

Rand, do not be as fascist as Atari mod.
He should understand that his previous single thread format encouraged reading more than multiple threads.
No need to threat him... unless you are a US goverment agent...

  8. #8
Not threatening, more stating a fact. This discussion has already happened at the Other Place - it's not new.

But may have gone too far saying 1 - Kat you had 2 threads at Atari so 2 is fair here.

  9. #9
Indeed when I saw Kat's single thread back there at Atari, I used to come and read. If he had multiple threads I might have not read his posts. This is why I think his megathread was so good. It was like a blog inside a forum, where you could comment. Isolated scattered posts on the same dark side of US only would make things not so attractive to read.

If kat is as smart as I think he is, he will use the same single thread format he used back there. That single thread was quite a classic. Atari forum would not have been complete without it.

I believe convincing is more effective than threatening.
It gives you a "soft power".

There are reasons why single thread is better for Kat.

Was that a joke? I lol'ed! Good to see your human side!

Surely you understand, your threads have a central theme, even a flow, so for the benefit of your story, and to avoid clutter, it'd be best for all, right?

U.S. military power: When is enough enough?
    http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debat...enough-enough/

“U.S. militarism has long been a core part of the American Way,” writes Steven Hill in a just-published book, Europe’s Promise, that compares the United States and Europe. Militarism does “triple duty as a formidable foreign policy tool, a powerful stimulus to the economy, and a usurper of tax dollars that could be spent on other budget priorities.”

Health care, say, or education, or the nation’s crumbling infrastructure. As it is, according to a study by a peace lobby, the Friends Committee on National Legislation, military spending and the cost of past wars have been swallowing up more than 40 percent of federal tax dollars, health care 20 percent, science, energy and environment 2.5 percent and education just over 2.
War means "stimulus" or deficit that risks hyperinflation?

don't you know that's only an excuse. It's easy to delete my postings if they are concentrated in one or two threads when it's time. As a matter of fact, they opened a new site to keep people from read my messages. In this way, many Atrari users wouldn't bother to go to a new web site.

House sends extension of Patriot Act to Obama

    By LARRY MARGASAK
    Associated Press Writer

    updated 4:38 p.m. PT, Thurs., Feb. 25, 2010
WASHINGTON - Key provisions of the nation's primary counterterrorism law would be extended for a year under a bill passed by the House Thursday evening after Democrats retreated from adding new privacy protections.

The House voted 315 to 97 to extend the USA Patriot Act, sending the bill to President Barack Obama. Without the bill, the provisions would expire Sunday.
The Senate approved the extension Wednesday. The privacy protections were cast aside when Senate Democrats lacked the necessary 60-vote supermajority to pass them. Thrown away were restrictions and greater scrutiny on the government's authority to spy on Americans and seize their records.

Calm down. Since the beginning of 20th century the decline of all empires have started and those wh tried to create empires failed.

    * French and British empire lost their colonies.
    * Germany tried twice to form an empire and ended up split in two.
    * Japan tried to form an empire and ended up nuked.
    * USSR tried to form an empire and collapsed and soviet nations became independent.
    * Argentina tried to take Falklands and suffered deficit, hyperinflation and starvation.
    * US is trying to form an empire with huge debt and deficit... what will happen next?

So calm down and do not worry. Buy some popcorn and try to watch how US goes on.

While I'm honored that you conflate Atari's incompetence with that of the government, bottom line is we expect you to stick to two threads tops.

And my ability to nuke your posts remains consistent no matter how many you make.

Your comment remind me of what Chinese government says to the Google. It's lucky that your ability only influence Atari. Do you apply for a job of cyber space team of the Feds? Do you have the same character as Obama has?

North Korea had nuclear test. It also threatens a war on US. Iran never does a nuclear test. It also says it has no intention to do so. Yet, North Korea got food aid from US and Iran gets a sanction.

Obama keeps N. Korea off terror sponsor list

    Feb. 3, 2010

President Barack Obama said Wednesday he had decided not to reinstate nuclear-armed North Korea to a list of countries that the United States considers state sponsors of terrorism.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last June had raised the possibility of returning North Korea to the list in reaction to recent nuclear and missile tests. Several Republican senators had been demanding such a move.

Look for human rights US in the website of Amnesty International and you will be surprised. More material for your thread.
As for making multiple threads I agree with Dreadnaught. I just enjoyed your long thread at Atari CC as it made it more attractive to read.

Then how do you explain "limit to two threads"?

    ------------

    Politicians are controlled by intelligence

Quote, “Case Study 14 : "9/11 Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura," TruTV, Premiere December 9, 2009

TruTV is an American cable television network owned by Time Warner through its subsidiary, Turner Broadcasting. Historically, its has given live homicide trial coverage and other criminal justice programming, though it has recently expanded into more caught-on-video reality, which it calls "actuality" television.

"Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura" premiered December 2, 2009, to an audience of 1.6 million television viewers.

The former Governor of Minnesota has good cause to look into conspiracies, as seen in his December 29 episode, which shows personal experience that the "secret state" holds more power than the senior elected representatives of the people:
"About a month after I was elected governor, I was requested into the basement of the capitol to be interviewed by 23 members of the Central Intelligence Agency, the CIA…And I said to them, "look before I answer any of your questions, I want to know what you're doing here." Because in the CIA mission statement it says that they're not to be operational inside the United States of America. Well, they wouldn't really give me an answer on that. And then I said, "I want to go around the room, and I want each one of you to tell me your name and what you do." Half of them wouldn't. Now isn't that bizarre? I'm the governor, and these guys won't even answer questions from me."49
