Switzerland also has mandatory conscription so guns are, or at one point were, a daily aspect of the lives of at least 50% of the population. Thats why a vast majority of the guns in the figures you are quoting are military issued.

You don't think of europe like of america concerning guns because over there they are taught how to respect them and the damage they do.

There is a similar comparison with Canada. They have a ton of guns up there but only a fraction of the US gun violence.

And you still shouldn't because it's only similar with a casual glance. In America, we are stupid about guns. And I don't mean the right to bear arms - that isn't stupid all by itself and I don't oppose it. It's the lax regulation that's stupid.

The inner city culture of America is quite different than in Europe. Hell it can be different from city to city of within the same country. Urban areas in America have become massive areas of crime where criminals congregate.
