Thread: UKIP leadership favourite in hospital with "bleed on the brain"

Default UKIP leadership favourite in hospital with "bleed on the brain"

Stephen Woolfe who was favourite to be the UKIP leader before he was ruled ineligible last time has been in an "altercation" (a fight) with other UKIP MEPs in Strasbourg and has collapsed and been rushed to hospital with a bleed on the brain and is in hospital in a "serious" condition.

Yesterday I was laughing at UKIP but this isn't funny anymore. I hope he's OK on a personal level.

On his 49th birthday too. ITV News apparently have footage of his collapsing on camera but not sure if they will/should air it. I hope he survives this, not sure UKIP will.

Allegedly punched and knocked into a window by UKIP's defence spokesman after a "heated" argument.

The far right is never far from violence
The light that once I thought compassion still casting shadows in your action
The words you shared were cold transactions that bring me to curse what you've done
When you're up there absorbed in greatness with such success you've grown complacent
I hope you scorch your many faces when you fly too close to the sun

Update: Mr. Woofle appears to be well, also reports are that he initiated the confrontation and came off second best

Eh? I would imagine most criminals tend to lean left than right. Evidence: It is the Democrats that want felons to have the right to vote. It is Republicans in favor of harsher sentencing of criminals. I get that this is a thread about UK and not America but since everything revolves around us...

The left is almost infinitely more politically violent than the right in the UK. They've gone from smashing windows of businesses whenever the Tories win an election, to smashing each others windows with bricks lately.

Though Steely said far right and the far right is closer to the far left than the regular right.

Some people hold themselves to higher standards than they hold others. Some people hold other people to higher standards than they hold themselves.

After Irish republicans and Islamist terrorists the most prolific terrorists in the UK are far right extremists. AFAIK, that is also true of the US, minus the Irish republicans.

The most prolific terrorists in the US, at least in terms of successful attacks, are far right groups.

    Source?

Left wing violence is considered routine and not terrorism generally.

I do and it does not appear in the list of terrorism. As I said above:

Left-wing political violence costs the UK £350 million per week, money they could be sending to the EU if it weren't for those liberal scum.

Thank you for providing a list of sources directly comparing far-right violence with left-wing violence. I'm shocked that these incidents of vandalism weren't lumped together with terrorist incidents on wikipedia.

I should probably be more surprised than I am that Randblade is equating smashing up stuff with smashing up people.

One thing though: violence WITHIN a party seems to be (by far) most prolific in rightwing populsit parties.

And in this country at least, PVV (right wing populist) lead by miles, and are the only ones with politicians with convictions or investigations of violent crimes (recently). THey also rank high in fraud and lying about their credentials (that last one is not a crime, but it was included in the same list I found). If we disregard them because they are so off the charts, in general right wing parties lead in criminal records and being prosecuted (mostly fraud and corruption, some violence). Driving under the influence also seems mostly a rightwing hobby, at least for politicians.

The real gem was of course the leader of the 50+ party (they're about old people) who did not pay pension premiums of his employees
Keep on keepin' the beat alive!

Are you suggesting either is acceptable? Though those links included violence against people as well as stuff so not sure why its a contrast?

Though those links were the tip of the iceberg. These are for this year alone.

Flixy I suspect the difference is that we don't have a right wing populist party in the UK domestically. UKIPs MEPs are acting like your equivalent it seems but domestically UKIP don't have MPs.

I'm not gonna wade into the UK brawl but most of the violence in America is done by people who dislike cops and don't vote Republican. That's pretty much fact.

Don't see any of those as being from the right. Racist != left or right.

I'm saying being racist is being racist it is not part of a left or right spectrum. Not complicated.
