Innocent people are murdered every day in this country, partially because we coddle criminals over and over. 1. Even if we outlawed guns tomorrow (something no serious politician actually suggests) criminals could still get their hands on guns. There are over 300 million guns in the country.

Ignoring the fact that roughly half of all murders are crimes of passion. That means, A) they cannot be deterred. And B) the person will use what ever weapon is lying around.

No I'm not. The only way to build support is for those who believe in it to campaign for it. And to do so honestly, campaigning to repeal the second amendment not trying to slip unconstitutional bills through Congress.

What is needed is a cultural change first, and that is not a quick process.

Don't think it's ever going to happen let alone be quick, but to get a cultural change you need people who are willing to campaign for the unthinkable. That way the unthinkable becomes the unbelievable becomes the unlikely. Then it's possible for a 2016 to happen and the unlikely becomes real.

But unless you are willing to push for the unthinkable then it can't happen.
