As expected with any programming project, a MAJOR FRIGGIN BUG showed up today, the day before the simulator ships, and I just spent the last 13 hours fixing it while rewriting major parts of my network replication in the process. All this and I have to wake up really early tomorrow to make sure the final testing goes well before they pack the thing up at noon. Even after it ships there's a lot of work to do before the show two weeks from now, and everything's going to take longer to debug without the simulator there. This is going to be a long week.

A TSA worker in Miami was arrested for aggravated battery after he attacked a co-worker for making fun of the size of his genitals, as viewed through the body scanning machine. Good thing they're not a total violation and invasion of privacy, or anything like that. <sigh>

Very long yes, but worth the watch, and I agree the end is moving.

Fussy is deliberately provoking cranky to cry by doing things that she knows set him off.

Fussy just told me that she shouldn't have to empty the dishwasher because it's a parent's job to do all the work.

Cranky is being even more idiosyncratic than he normally is.

My area is becoming incredibly messy due to the strike of trash collectors and street cleaners. Everybody who visits this place seems to have to buy some fast food and after eating/drinking it outside throw the packaging on the ground. It's really piling up.

I'll put this here so I can rant without being dragged into an argument. The markets are off and running, right out of the gate, whoosh up UP we go. So much for the freeee marketeers espousing capitali$m. In reality all the traders/brokers/speculators/market makers/bankers love SSSocialism. They smell fees coming their way to move around all the sovereign debt, by using fancy new innovative financial "tools" and central banks. Never mind that everyone is broke and laden with debt. Forget Repeal and Replace--it's Deny and Delay. A bunch of people are going to make millions, without really creating jobs or growth.

It's like the world is having a huge costume party.

Also impatience. You know what, I'll just break down the reasons:

1) It costs money to operate (they however are okay with the washing machine and dryer)
2) If we use it to much, it will eventually break, and we'll have to get a new one (see above)
3) We never have enough dishes to warrant using it (which occurs because of how frequently they want us to wash dishes, which is pretty much after each meal)

This pretty much results in it only being used when we have guests over...

As for the whys...Wife thinks that hand-washing gets them cleaner than the dishwasher, and it's not worth the argument.

I always thought "do the dishes" meant get them clean, pick your method.

My kids would pick using paper plates or eating over the sink, instead of dirtying dishes, but that counts, too. Technically.

Way I figure it, if she spends a couple hours cooking every night, the extra ten minutes spent doing the dishes the way she wants is a trade-off thats vastly in my favor.

Aw, that's sweet.

As summer approaches, our dish washing habits will change. We won't use the machine as often, because grilling out and salads means less cookware or oven sheets. (I always wash that stuff by hand.) If we load the dishwasher it ends up attracting ants, because it takes a week to fill it full in the summer.

It's actually less water to run a full dishwasher than it is to stand in front of the sink washing them by hand with the water going....if you have an efficient dishwasher.

Dishwashers are like car washes. So they say. They use air pressure to make a small amount of water more efficient. But it also uses electricity and/or natural gas (in the water heater).

I say give everyone a gallon of water and figure out its best use.

Since my mom lived on a boat, I learned you use one gallon of clean water to drink, and everything else can use grey water or no water.

So theres this girl and me...she seemed pretty interested in me, I even went over her house within a week of talking to her to help with a project that ended up into getting to know each other... and now over the past few weeks everytime I ask her to do something she never has time to do anything. So I asked her if she wants to do something this weekend and shes like: "Why do you want to hang out with me so much anyways lol?" ........I wonder if shes trying to see if it's a date or she really can't tell I'm interested in her : /

Usually works excellently for getting a direct answer. (Which is usually "no," but since she's probably blowing you off, it's not like you've got anything to lose anyway.)

I've told her many times that she can just say no without fear of being rude after asking her to do something but she insists she really does want to do something. And I don't think she's that oblivious as to not notice my interest in her.

It was never a date. It started out as getting some people together to go bowling and asking her to come and advancing to "Hey wanna hang out?" and once we were out, I would see if she was interested or not. Unfortunately that never happened and after a few texts earlier she might think I'm a bit odd with my gloomy "Right...well whatever then" texts. I think the only course now would be to tell her how I feel and see how she reacts. Unless she said "Why do you wanna hang out with me so badly lol?" to figure out if it was a date or not......idk
