Thread: What is making you happy right now

1080p is 1920×1080. From what I could find online, you're in HD land

Granted, its a step backwards considering the high denisty of most CRTs from 5+ years ago, but widescreen is slowing getting there.

Done with all the work for the semester. Trying to decide if I should start the summer work tomorrow or day after.

Because I just finished a stretch where I was writing nearly every night for a month. Given all the stuff I have to do this summer, I don't really want to burn myself out.

    Rest is for the weak
In the future, the Berlin wall will be a mile high, and made of steel. You too will be made to crawl, to lick children's blood from jackboots. There will be no creativity, only productivity. Instead of love there will be fear and distrust, instead of surrender there will be submission. Contact will be replaced with isolation, and joy with shame. Hope will cease to exist as a concept. The Earth will be covered with steel and concrete. There will be an electronic policeman in every head. Your children will be born in chains, live only to serve, and die in anguish and ignorance.
The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.

    Last day of school!

No more 6am for me until the beginning of August.

Next years school-year calendar sucks sweaty hairy unwashed balls, though.

waiting does the same thing. I didn't want to confuse people by making them think the feeling lucky button was removed.

    EDIT:
or not, the button (double click) also activates two player.

Mario Galaxy 2 has received a perfect ten from both IGN and Gamespot.

    I enjoy blank walls.

Watch Avatar last night. The movie is predictable as hell, standard "White man saves the day" storyline. Also rather long.

    but...

It was visually stunning, the battles still came across as exciting, and it managed to keep everyone paying attention the full length of the movie. Even Ocean sat through the entire movie. Message was clear enough that Brent made the immediate connection to current American events.

Republicans discover the web doesn't take kindly to Web 2.0 attempts with thinly veiled agendas.

"End Child Labor Laws," suggests one helpful participant. "We coddle children too much. They need to spend their youth in the factories."

"How about if Congress actually do thier job and VET or Usurper in Chief, Obama is NOT a Natural Born Citizen in any way," recommends another. "That fake so called birth certificate is useless."

"A 'teacher' told my child in class that dolphins were mammals and not fish!" a third complains. "And the same thing about whales! We need TRADITIONAL VALUES in all areas of education. If it swims in the water, it is a FISH. Period! End of Story."
    [...]
"Build a castle-style wall along the border, there is plenty of stone laying around about there." That was in the "national security" section of the new site.

"Legalize Marijuana, cause, like, alcohol is legal. Man. Also." That was in the "traditional values" section.

"I say, repeal all the amendments to the Constitution." ("American prosperity" section.)

"Don't let the illegals run out of Arizona and hide. . . . I think that we should do something to identify them in case they try to come back over. Like maybe tattoo a big scarlet 'I' on their chests -- for 'illegal'!!!" (Filed under "job creation.")

Do you do anything but take cheap shots at Republicans based on the actions of a handful of individuals? I notice you haven't replied which portion of Tea Partyers you think oppose Obama because they're racist by the way.

    Spoiler:

Poor Loki, getting all huffy puffy cause he can't dictate the direction of the conversation. Which ironically is the point that I made, and you skipped replying to, in the management thread

Well, unless you live in a really small town, you'll probably never see those people again.
