Actually Dread's last post seems to indicate that he wanted to be banned. He posted in a topic that was in violation of the new rules, and with a clearly political question (about the California Budget) . It's an understated act of defiance but it was an act of defiance all the same.

To be clear with folks, the reason I was given has nothing to do with this place. It has to do with a post I made months before that arguably narrowly violates one of the new rules.
