    Default Dutch government collapsed?

Sounds like the Dutch government has collapsed regarding continuing deployment in Afghanistan.

Yeah, I woke up to this news. It was interesting to hear that they would let the government fall over something so trivial only days before the local elections. PvdA (Labour) must be pretty desperate.
    Congratulations America

It is logical. War causes deficit, so reducing military expenses may help dutch economy. Soldiers are sons of dutch citizens. Dutch people did not cause the war and have no real interest in sending their kids to die. Why would you send your son to a war that is not yours?

If I am correct US represents 40% of all military spending inthe world. Replacing a few dutch soldiers with american soldiers shold not be a big deal for US.

Sounds like we're going to have new elections before the summer. Interesting times again, according to opinion polls we're going to see more than half of the seats in parliament going to be occupied by new people after those elections. We don't have term limits overhere, but it sure is looking like 'sticking to power' has become a thing of the past. At least for the forseeable future.
    Congratulations America

I just hope we dont get another LPF-like fiasco with inexperienced, incompetent new politicians who fuck up immensely.

Although, maybe that could kill of the PVV, the LPF is pretty much dead now

On a side note, in the upcoming local elections I can vote for Johan Vlemmix =\ His main point is building a monorail in Eindhoven...

Well, local elections in 2 weeks, national elections on the 9th of June. I am expecting a bloodbath, the leader of the PvdA (Labour) isn't certain if he wants to resume membership of parliament (which is possible but complicated and means a MP of his own party has to resign).
    Congratulations America

The question now is, who to vote for come june.

    I have absolutely no idea.
I could have had class. I could have been a contender.
I could have been somebody. Instead of a bum
    Which is what I am

    I aim at the stars
    But sometimes I hit London
