Anyone experience with the Walker algorithm?

I want to draw a tree hierarchy and since it's non-binary, the Walker algorithm seems to be the only one out there.

However, there's no actual code or pseudocode out there (or at least I couldn't find it), so does anyone know of example code before I have to work through a somewhat wordy "definition"?
