I'll write more about this tomorrow, but the main point here is that there has recently been a rise in open-access science journals, most of whom are a mockery to the very idea of science and peer review. To what extent is science itself getting devalued, especially in parts of the third world where these journals are particularly popular, as long as these journals are out there?
